Dr. Alexander Herzog, M.D., Ph.D.

Hyperthermia Around the World
Dr. Herzog talks about the history of hyperthermia and how it’s gaining recognition all around the world. He also mentions how hyperthermia needs to be used in conjunction with radiation and chemotherapy. Hyperthermia has shown to improve treatment results, lower side effects, and improve quality of life. There are various types of hyperthermia devices and treatments that can be used such as local, regional, whole body, and fever therapy.

Dr.-Alexander-Herzog

DR. ALEXANDER HERZOG, M.D., Ph.D., received his medical degree at the University of Heidelberg in Germany in 1984 where he researched at the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg about vaccine treatments against cancer in animal models. Afterwards he specialized in internal medicine and oncology at the University Hospital of Heidelberg. Working as a consultant and head physician in different oncological hospitals, he soon realized that conventional treatments alone were not sufficient to achieve the best possible results and to fulfill the needs of cancer patients.

Dr. Herzog researched about additional options and realized hyperthermia as a tool to improve the efficacy of chemotherapy and radiation. Using special treatment combinations he showed that treatment results of cancer patients even with advanced or metastatic disease were improved.

He also developed a program of complementary treatments to enhance the quality of life of cancer patients and to reduce side effects of conventional treatments. These complementary therapies include well researched treatments like infusions with high doses of antioxidants and vitamins, medications for immunomodulation and detoxification, treatments against fatigue, magnetic field therapy, ozone therapy, oxygen therapy, sports- and physiotherapy.

The results of his treatments were presented at numerous conferences and in scientific publications.

For about 20 years he has been working in his own hospital specialized in hyperthermia and complementary oncology, but also other chronic diseases and in infectious diseases like Lyme disease.

He is professor at the University of Sevilla in Spain, but also gives lectures at the University of Gießen in Germany about oncology and complementary medicine.

My wife (Eva-Maria) was admitted to Dr. Herzog’s clinic after being told by the medical community that they could do no more for her. We were told to “get your paperwork together and make your final arrangements.” She was given no more than two months to live. After attending the Fachklinik several times, my wife survived and lived a normal life for almost 10 more years. Thank you Dr. Herzog, with all my heart, for the ten wonderful “bonus years” with my beautiful soul-mate.

I understand that this facility has closed down. Are there any Drs in US that have studied under Dr Herzog.

Unfortunately the way which Dr Herzog practiced was completely unique. He did not adhere to any FDA guidelines but instead used his own considerable experience and capabilities to tailor make a unique and applied regime for each individual patient. He worked tirelessly and I often bumped into him roaming the hospital corridors in the wee hours of the morning. Friends went to other clinics in Austria etc and they were not the same. He was a genuinely brilliant and loving individual who cared for his patients over money. Unfortunately this is a rarity in medical practice. RIP Alexander 🙏

Dr Herzog totally saved my life. Without any doubt. I only had a few days to live when i arrived with metastatic melanoma. His personalised treatments and wonderful encouraging programs and the whole set up at his hospital kept me alive. I was there on and off for six months. I could not more highly recommend Dr Herzog. He is a beautiful, kind and wonderfully caring and educated man. He always remains calm and optimistic in every situation. While I was given no hope at all over and again in Australia, Dr Herzog never once lost hope and five years later I am here to tell the story. Never ever give up. And don’t wait too long to try something.
